Novel modulators of vascular ion channels
The research activity focuses on characterising the effects of newly synthesised molecules, food antioxidant additives, and the rodenticide norbormide—as well as their derivatives—on vascular mechanical function and on the activity of ion channels such as Ca²⁺ and K⁺ channels, which are involved in its regulation. The aim is to identify novel potential pharmacological agents, safe diagnostic tools, or species-selective rodenticides.
