Dottorato di Ricerca in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Direttore: Prof.ssa Lorenza Trabalzini

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology are among the most productive and active areas of modern scientific knowledge, finding numerous applications in biotechnological, biomedical, agri-food, and life sciences fields. The aim of this PhD School is to train highly qualified young professionals in the field of molecular and biochemical sciences to facilitate their integration into the world of research and the biotechnological industry, as well as life sciences. The general objective of the PhD School is to provide doctoral students with the theoretical foundations and technological knowledge necessary to become researchers capable of working in both public and private research institutions, and to provide them with the tools necessary to develop innovative research projects that may lead to potential industrial development.

The technologies used and taught to our doctoral students make use of cutting-edge platforms and instruments that students will have access to in order to develop research projects with clear implications in the fields of public health, production of new diagnostics, biotechnological drugs, vaccines, nutraceuticals, and productions in the agri-food and life sciences sectors in general.
